Plus, new portrait lenses from Vitrox and a first look at DJI's latest pocket cam

Photography took some interesting turns this week. DJI gave us an early look at the Osmo Pocket 4, continuing the rapid evolution of compact cameras designed specifically for creators on the move. At the same time, Apple previewed new AI-powered photo editing tools in iOS 27, raising fresh questions about where the line between capture and creation now sits. |
Elsewhere, we highlighted the winner of Icelandair's delightfully self-deprecating "Terrible Photographer" contest, proving that memorable images don't always require perfect technique. We also examined DJI's latest legal battle with Insta360 as competition in the action camera space continues to intensify. |
And because great photography is still ultimately about the people making it, we spent time with a DPReview community member who carries a Sony a7R IV deep into the mountains in search of landscapes worth the effort. Whether you're interested in new gear, new tools or simply new perspectives, there's plenty to explore in this week's coverage.
As always, thanks for being a reader and supporting our work.
