Our Favorite Camera Gear of 2025

Top DPR Masthead Image

December 7th, 2025

After nearly a full year of testing and weeks of deliberation, we're excited to reveal our picks for the best photography gear of 2025.

Richard and Mitchell also wrapped up their review of one of, if not the final, new camera releases of 2025 - the Sony a7V.

Last but certainly not least, a gallery of the 20 standout shots from our November compact camera community photo challenge, along with a roundup of the best photos captured by readers this year, made this week one of the most engaging weeks of 2025.

We hope you enjoy the photos and appreciate everyone who took the time to share submissions.

As always, thank you for reading and being part of the DPReview community.
