Plus, when ISO isn't quite what it seems.

This week, a surprising number of stories revolved around the idea that modern photography is often less limited by the gear itself than by how we understand — or rethink — the tools at hand.
Richard unpacked why camera makers aren’t actually locking filmmakers out of base ISO in Log workflow and revisited a clever new solution to one of digital film photography’s oldest annoyances, while Abbey and Mitchell looked ahead at what Sony and Canon appear ready to unveil next.
At the same time, Mathew asked the community to share the books that permanently reshaped how members viewed the world and interviewed a community member who used a modest Nikon Z5 to capture architecture across Europe with remarkable precision and personality.
Together, it made for a week less about specs alone, and more about the evolving relationship between technology, technique and creative perspective.
As always, thank you for supporting our work, and Happy Mother’s Day to all who are celebrating |
