This week offered a useful reminder that great photography is about more than any single piece of gear. |
Panasonic's new Lumix L10 showed how much capability can fit into a compact camera, while 7Artisans continued its push into more ambitious territory with a new 135mm F1.8 autofocus portrait lens. Meanwhile, Leica argued that smartphone cameras still have meaningful room for improvement, despite the remarkable progress they've already made. |
Of course, gear is only part of the equation. One of our favorite stories this week takes a look inside fashion photographer Katie Borrazzo's surprisingly versatile kit, highlighting how the best tools are often the ones that fit the way you actually work. |
Before we go, a quick heads-up: we're working on a refresh of this newsletter. Expect more first-hand perspectives from the DPReview team, exclusive content, and a curated selection of great photography stories, images, and discussions from around the web. We'll have more to share soon. |
