Welcome to the 566th Digital Photography Review newsletter. It's been another busy few days, with new cameras from Ricoh, Canon and DxO. The DxO ONE might be the most interesting of the three (sorry Canon and Pentax fans...) and not just because it's DxO's first foray into making hardware. The ONE is designed to be paired with an iPhone as a plug-in camera module, with a fast lens and 20MP 1inch type sensor. Technically it's an impressive product, and one we're keen to try out for ourselves. You can read Rishi's insights into the ONE below. Rishi's had a busy week - he's also been nerding out over the technology in Sony's new Alpha a7R II. Meanwhile, Richard has been thinking about DSLR and mirrorless convergence and I interviewed Kimeo Maki - the 'father' of the a7-series. Phew! Eye for an 'i': Canon EOS Rebel T6i review posted The Canon EOS Rebel T6i (750D) bears quite the resemblance to its Rebel T6s (760D) sibling. It's essentially the same model, down to the 24.2MP APS-C sensor and 19-point AF module. What it doesn't offer are the higher-end controls of the T6s, including a top-plate status LCD. Firmware v2.0 adds the ability to record in the XAVC S format to the 16-month-old camera, offering 50Mbps shooting at 24, 30, or 60p (and PAL equivalents). Aside from the updated firmware, a Class 10 SDXC card is the only other thing you'll need to get started. Read more Adobe Camera Raw 9.1 adds Dehaze feature and improves X-Trans support Published Tuesday, June 16, 2015 8:53:53 PM GMT Adobe has released the latest iterations of its Camera Raw plug-in and DNG converter software. In addition to adding support for more cameras and lenses, this update also adds Dehaze correction as well as local B&W adjustment sliders. Adobe has also reduced ‘color blur’ artifacts in Raw images from Fujifilm X-Trans cameras. Welcome to the 565th Digital Photography Review newsletter. The past few days have been unusually busy here at DPReview, with new cameras from Leica and Sony - all of which really do look very nice indeed. The Leica Q is a lovely little thing that has everyone here at DPReview anxiously checking their bank balances, but mere hours after it was released, Sony announced three new cameras which stole the headlines. Let's take a look at some recent content highlights - and boy, what a week it's been. Return of the Super Rebel: Canon EOS Rebel T6s (760D) in-depth review Canon's EOS Rebel T6s (760D) is easily the most advanced model yet to enter the company's beginner-friendly DSLR lineup. It offers a new 24.2MP sensor and improved AF and metering systems compared to its predecessor. Its top plate LCD display, quick control dial and continuous AF in live view elevate it above its near-twin, the T6i, while Wi-Fi/NFC round out a solid set of features. We thought we were busy last week, but our workload was nothing compared to Sony's engineers, who have spent the past few months preparing three new cameras, all of which represent major technological leaps over their predecessors and indeed competitive models from other manufacturers. Unlike its predecessor, the camera includes on-sensor phase detection elements for faster autofocus, which continues to work with other brands' lenses. Read more Magnum offers signed square prints for $100 in limited edition sale Published on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 5:00:00 AM GMT Photo agency Magnum is offering prints from 50 of its photographers in a limited edition sale with each print costing $100. In a similar event to the one it ran last year, the agency challenged a collection of its photographers to find 'an image that changes everything' from their archive.
