Welcome to the 756th DPReview newsletter. This week, we've been taking advantage of the fine (ish) weather, getting out and shooting on some of the gear that has arrived in our office over the past few weeks. We updated our gallery of samples on the Sony a6400 and Fujifilm X-T30, and I wrote a little about my recent experience shooting with the Ricoh GR III. Meanwhile, Richard has been busy with three articles explaining some of the fundamentals of digital imaging, and to mark Earth Day 2019 on Monday we published three interviews with photographers looking variously at earth from space, at space from earth, and at earth from earth. You'll find links to all of this - and more - below. Barney Ricoh GR III shooting experience: "Shut up and take my money" They say that the best camera is the one you you have with you. I've been taking the Ricoh GR III with me a lot recently. Chris and Jordan break down the differences between these models to see which comes out on top. Watch the latest episode of DPRTV Earth Day 2019: The interviews To mark Earth Day 2019 we sat down with three photographers who between them are creating stunning images of earth and space. Welcome to the 755th DPReview newsletter This week we've been busy shooting with the new Ricoh GR III, and Nikon's latest Z-series lens, the X 24-70mm F2.8 S. Both look pretty impressive. Images are linked below, along with a full review of the equally impressive Fujifilm X-T30. Meanwhile, we gave a Nikon Z6 to photographer Diego Rizzo, who took it on a recent trip to the Fuego volcano in Guatemala - one of the most active volcanos in the world. Watch our video to see how he - and the Z6 - got on. Fujifilm X-T30 review The Fujifilm X-T30 is a $900 camera that's an incredibly capable stills/video hybrid. Image and 4K video quality are top-notch and, aside from some ergonomic and autofocus stumbles, the X-T30 does just about everything right. Learn more in our in-depth review.
