Howdy and welcome to the 872nd DPReview newsletter! Since we last spoke, Sony launched a new APS-C interchangeable lens vlogging camera called the ZV-E10. We also published a field review of the super-fast Fujifilm XF 50mm F1.0 lens, as well as an in-depth review of Gitzo's Systematic Series 3 tripod. Finally, we updated our drone buying guide for 2021 – can you guess which brand took off as our favorite? Thanks for reading! Dan Sony ZV-E10 review The new Sony ZV-E10 is seemingly a vlogger's dream. It shoots uncropped 4K/24p video, offers headphone and microphone ports, a touch-sensitive selfie screen, class-leading AF and a darn good onboard mic. Unfortunately, jiggly 4K and subpar Full HD footage detract from its appeal. Fujifilm XF 50mm F1.0 R WR field review The Fujifilm XF 50mm F1.0 R WR is a premium fast aperture portrait prime for the company's X-mount cameras. Find out how it performs in our review. Read our Fujifilm XG 50mm F1.0 review If you're looking for the perfect drone for yourself, or to gift someone special, we've gone through all of the options and selected our favorites. In-depth tripod review: Gitzo Systematic Series 3 (GT3543LS) In the first of a series of in-depth reviews of the best heavy-duty 'Systematic' tripods, we're taking a look at the Gitzo Systematic Series 3 (GT3543LS). The big Gitzo is where it all started, so how does it hold up against today's competition?

Hello and welcome to the 871st DPReview newsletter! In the past week, we published a detailed comparison between the retro-styled Nikon Z fc and the equally old-school Fujifilm X-T30. We also rolled out a hearty gallery of samples from the new Fujifilm XF 18mm F1.4. And we published our full review on the stylish yet quirky Zeiss ZX1, as well as our complete photographer's guide to buying a smartphone. Thanks for reading and have a solid week! Dan Nikon Z fc vs Fujifilm X-T30: which is the better retro APS-C camera? The Nikon Z fc arrived quite late to the classically styled party, but it looks pretty competitive when placed side-by-side with Fujifilm's similarly throw-back X-T30. We took a closer look at what they offer, how they handle and which is better. Read our Nikon Z fc vs Fujifilm X-T30 comparison Zeis ZX1 complete review We've just published our full review of the Zeiss ZX1. With a 37MP full-frame sensor, minimalist controls and Lightroom Mobile built-in, it remains a refreshing – if quirky – take on the smartphone-meets-camera concept. Fujifilm XF 18mm F1.4 sample gallery We've been out shooting with a production copy of the Fujifilm XF 18mm F1.4 R LM WR. It delivers impressive optical performance and a great hands-on experience. Check out our sample gallery to judge image quality for yourself. View our Fujifilm XF 18mm F1.4 gallery A photographer's guide to buying a smartphone All smartphones have at least one camera, but there's a lot of variety out there, and depending on your needs, some features might be more useful than others. In this guide, we explain the key technologies and the major differentiators to help you make the best decision.
