Hello reader, First and foremost, apologies if the past few newsletters have had links 404 on you. We were having a bit of a technical difficulty on our side, but it's been resolved now. Now that the bugs are squashed, let's get onto the latest news and stories from DPReview! Check out our latest reviews, news and more in the summary below. Gannon We’ve wrapped up our review of the X-H2S to see what Fujifilm’s latest high-end APS-C camera has to offer. While you’ll have to read through the whole review to get our comprehensive thoughts, the long and short of it is the X-H2S is essentially a mirrorless successor to the high-end APS-C DSLRs we used to see from the likes of Canon and Nikon – but even better, thanks to its high-quality 4K video capture. If video reviews are more your cup of tea, our Canadian counterparts have published their video review of Fujifilm’s latest camera system. They’ve also shared a sample gallery of images captured with the camera across Seattle and Canada. Updated full-frame mirrorless lens guide We’ve updated our full-frame mirrorless lens guide to include all of the new offerings for Sony E-mount, Canon RF-mount, Nikon Z-mount and L-mount camera systems. Take a look to see what the current offerings are from first and third-party lens manufacturers. Testing out Techart’s M-mount to E-mount AF adapter Chris and Jordan have taken Techart’s new LM-EA9 adapter for a spin to see just how well it can focus M-mount lenses on Sony E-mount camera bodies. Watch the full video to see how the ultra-thin adapter performs.
Canon files patent application for liquid-cooled cameras It’s not likely we’ll be seeing this in any Canon camera in the near future, but it’s an interesting concept nonetheless. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

Hello, I’ve spent the past week recovering from a less-than-ideal bout of COVID-19, so I hope your week has gone a bit better than mine. Despite being down and out, the team back at DPR HQ was plenty busy, putting out great content, as always. Headlining that content is a new studio scene with Fujifilm’s X-H2S, a sample gallery with Sigma’s new 24mm F1.4 prime lens and a DPReview TV review of Laowa’s crazy-small Nanomorph anamorphic lenses. Check out all of these articles and more in the roundup below. Gannon Fujifilm’s X-H2S offers high-speed photographs with little impact to image quality Despite its faster high-speed continuous modes and readout performance from its Stacked CMOS sensor, Fujifilm’s new X-H2S offers nearly identical performance to Fujifilm’s X-T4, which we praised for its impressive performance. Click through to the article to read Richard’s full analysis. Taking Sigma’s new 24mm F1.4 lens around Seattle for a sample gallery Sigma’s new 24mm F1.4 isn’t nearly as star-centric as its 20mm F1.4 counterpart, but its wide-angle field-of-view makes it a great candidate for street photography landscapes and more. This comprehensive gallery was shot by one of DPReview’s newest team members: Shaminder Dulai (who we learned joined the National Press Photographers Association’s board earlier this year). Nanomorphin’ around with Chris and Jordan DPR TV went hands-on with Laowa’s crazy new Nanomorph lenses. These 35mm and 50mm T2.4 1.5x anamorphic lenses manage to pack a an impressive 1.5x squeeze into incredibly compact form factors. Check out the video to see what Jordan thinks of them! Tamron is developing a new 20–40mm F2.8 zoom for E-mount Tamron has announced it’s currently developing a new 20–40mm F2.8 zoom lens for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras that is set for a ‘Fall 2022’ launch.
