Hello, I’ve spent the past week recovering from a less-than-ideal bout of COVID-19, so I hope your week has gone a bit better than mine. Despite being down and out, the team back at DPR HQ was plenty busy, putting out great content, as always. Headlining that content is a new studio scene with Fujifilm’s X-H2S, a sample gallery with Sigma’s new 24mm F1.4 prime lens and a DPReview TV review of Laowa’s crazy-small Nanomorph anamorphic lenses. Check out all of these articles and more in the roundup below. Taking Sigma’s new 24mm F1.4 lens around Seattle for a sample gallery Sigma’s new 24mm F1.4 isn’t nearly as star-centric as its 20mm F1.4 counterpart, but its wide-angle field-of-view makes it a great candidate for street photography landscapes and more. This comprehensive gallery was shot by one of DPReview’s newest team members: Shaminder Dulai (who we learned joined the National Press Photographers Association’s board earlier this year). Nanomorphin’ around with Chris and Jordan DPR TV went hands-on with Laowa’s crazy new Nanomorph lenses. These 35mm and 50mm T2.4 1.5x anamorphic lenses manage to pack a an impressive 1.5x squeeze into incredibly compact form factors. Check out the video to see what Jordan thinks of them!
