Welcome to the 751st DPReview Newsletter As Seattle basks in higher than average August temperatures - in mid-March - I sat down this week with wildlife and conservation photographer Frans Lanting to talk about his work, and the changes he's seen in the world over his decades' of experience shooting in some of earth's most vulnerable ecosystems. Look out for that interview on the homepage soon. In the meantime, we've been sweating away (literally) working on the new Canon EOS RP, the Leica Q, and Panasonic's pair of high-performance full-frame mirrorless cameras, the Lumix S1 and S1R. You'll find links to all of that content below. Canon EOS RP - review-in-progress The EOS RP is Canon's latest full-frame mirrorless camera, with diminutive dimensions and a diminutive price. Find out how it stacks up and get our thoughts in our early review. Click here to read more about the Canon EOS RP Is the Leica Q2 right for you? Leica recently announced the Q2, a digital rangefinder with a fixed 28mm F1.7 lens. It's a heck of a lot of fun to shoot with, but is it right for you? Based on our time with the camera, and its specifications, we've examined how well-suited it is for common photography use-cases. Canon EOS RP, Nikon Z6 and Olympus E-M1X added to buying guides We've updated our buying guides with three more cameras: the Canon EOS RP, Nikon Z6 and Olympus E-M1X. Check out our updated buying guides Panasonic Lumix S1 sample gallery With the arrival of some much-needed sunshine and final production firmware for the Panasonic S1, we've been able to get outside and really start putting the camera through its paces.

Welcome to the 750th DPReview Newsletter! We're back from Japan (in body at least - the spirit still has a couple of days of catching-up to do...) and busy transcribing the many hours of interviews we conducted with senior executives at the show. Watch out for some of those on the site soon, but in the meantime we've been working on the new Canon EOS RP, and shooting with Fujifilm's impressive GF 100-200mm F5.6 for medium-format. Check out the links below. CP+ 2019: Complete show coverage The annual CP+ show in Yokohama, Japan took place earlier this month and we were there, getting our hands on the latest cameras and lenses. check out our full coverage of CP+ 2019 Canon EOS RP vs EOS 6D Mark II: Which is right for you? Canon's EOS RP is the company's latest entry-level full-frame camera, and it happens to be mirrorless. The company's previous entry-level full framer was the EOS 6D Mark II, and so we decided to take a look at how they stack up for different types of photography. Read more about how the Canon EOS RP compares against the 6D II Fujifilm GF 100-200mm F5.6 sample gallery The Fujifilm GF 100-200mm F5.6 covers a range equivalent to 79-158mm when mounted on a GFX camera. It's also a medium-format Fujifilm shooter's longest zoom option for the foreseeable future – take a look at some sample shots. Take a look at our shots from the Fujifilm GF 100-200mm F5.6 New Sony FE 135mm F1.8 GM gives 'insanely good' MTF results Roger Cicala is a hard man to impress. His team tests a lot of lenses, but the new Sony FE 135mm F1.8 GM is a cut above the rest. Literally, all the rest. Roger's verdict? 'This is the sharpest lens we've tested. Period'.
