Welcome to the 546th Digital Photography Review newsletter. As we gear up for the CP+ show in Japan next week (gulp...) we're working hard preparing coverage of some pretty impressive cameras and lenses which are scheduled to be released over the next few days. Most I can't tell you about yet, but if you've been paying attention to our homepage you'll see that Ricoh has gotten in early with the announcement of a full-frame DSLR! It's been a long time coming and the company hasn't really given any details but let's hope it turns out to be more real than the last one. Ok - let's look at some recent content highlights... Samsung NX1 First Impressions Review updated with shooting experienceSamsung's NX1 looks and feels like a DSLR in many ways, but don't be fooled - it's an ambitious 28.2MP APS-C mirrorless camera, the first to use a backside-illuminated CMOS chip of that size. It also provides hybrid AF with 205 phase-detect points, 15 fps burst shooting with continuous AF and 4K video recording. We've updated our first impressions of the camera with a shooting experience. Today, their prayers have been answered, as Ricoh has announced the development of exactly that. The company didn't share a whole lot of detail, other than to say that it will be compatible with DA lenses via a crop function and that it will be available by the end of 2015. The concept model (pictured above) will be shown next week at CP+ in Japan where we hope to learn more about it.
