Welcome to the 775th DPReview newsletter! After one launch after another over the last two weeks, things have settled down at the DPReview office, which means that we're back to focusing on reviews and sample galleries. We have quite a few interesting lenses on hand, so look for galleries from those soon. While most of cameras announced in the last few weeks are yet to arrive, rest assured that we'll start shooting (and reviewing) them as soon as they're here. Nikon teases D6 and 120-300mm F2.8 lens; 24mm F1.8 for Z-mount to ship in October Nikon has announced something that virtually everyone on the planet expected: that its D6 professional DSLR is on the way. The company revealed absolutely no details, so that's about all we can say at this point. Nikon also teased an intriguing new 120-300mm F2.8 lens for its full-frame DSLRs, which will ship at a date to be determined. One product that we know is coming soon is the Nikkor Z 24mm F1.8 S, which arrives in October. Read more about Nikon's upcoming products Sony a6100 / a6600 galleries Once the craziness of the launch event ended, DPReview's Richard Butler got out and above with Sony's new a6100 and a6600 cameras, shooting on the Highline in New York City. View the Sony a6100 gallery Tamron SP 35mm F1.4 Di USD sample gallery Tamron advertises this fast prime as their 'finest ever', and we were certainly impressed with just how sharp it was. Check out the sample gallery, which we shot using a Nikon Z7, and judge for yourself. DPReview TV: Great moments in EVF history High quality electronic viewfinders are pretty ubiquitous these days, but that wasn't always the case. DPReview TV takes a retrospective look at several cameras that raised the bar for EVF performance. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
