Happy Friday, readers! Due to some technical difficulties we experienced yesterday, our newsletter is coming to you a day late. Next week, we will return to our regularly scheduled programming with a usual Thursday release. With that out of the way, let's get to it. The photography world is well in the middle of its usual mid-year lull. But there’s still been plenty of news over the past week, including a sneak peek at Nikon's new compact telephoto lens, a sample gallery of OM System's new 12-40mm F2.8 Pro II lens and a rather unique firmware update from Ricoh that adds new color modes to three of its DSLR cameras - but only if you have the right lens attached. Here’s a summary of the biggest news stories of the week, followed by all of our other coverage. Enjoy the scenery and pixel-peep to your hearts content.  DPReview TV: The most expensive camera in the world Last week, we shared the news of the most expensive camera ever sold, a 0-Series Leica prototype camera used by Oskar Barnack that sold for $15M at auction. DPReview TV's Chris and Jordan were on-location to experience the event and watch the hammer drop on the record-breaking sale.    Ricoh’s new firmware for Pentax K-1, K-1 Mark II and K-3 Mark III adds season-specific presets, but only if you have the right lenses Ricoh announced a small set of firmware updates for three of its DSLR cameras that add new Custom Image modes based on the various seasons of the year. But there's a catch - the new Custom Image modes will only work with select Pentax Limited-series lenses attached to the camera. Otherwise, you'll be limited to your standard set of Custom Image modes.
